FAQ

For Additional Questions Please Contact Us

Yes. The choice of where you receive therapy is always yours. While the majority of our patients come to us by physician referral/recommendation, many clients request to see us due to our strong clinical reputation in the community.

We operate in a direct access state where, if your insurance plan authorizes self-referral to physical therapy, a physician referral is not necessary for you to be seen by a licensed therapist. Please check with your insurance though as many health insurance plans require a physician’s referral for therapy to be covered. We also offer treatments, services and/or products that do NOT require a referral and are available on a self-pay basis.

We participate in the majority of major health insurance plans including Medicare and Worker’s Compensation. Please contact us prior to your first visit to see if we participate with your specific health plan.

As a service to our patients, we will gladly file claims with your insurance company on your behalf. In order to appropriately submit these claims, we will need to obtain a copy of your insurance identification card to ensure that we have the necessary information.

Your therapist will conduct an evaluation of your condition lasting between 60-90 minutes. The evaluation is necessary to create a program designed specifically to address your needs for a maximum recovery.

– Referral slip from your medical doctor
– Your medical insurance card
– Your ID
– If you are getting therapy as a result of a worker’s compensation claim or an automobile accident, you will also need to bring your claim information, including claim number.

Please arrive 15 minutes early on your first visit to fill out any necessary paperwork.

We recommend comfortable clothing such as sweatpants or shorts, a T-shirt or tank-top and sneakers.

Each visit will last 60 – 90 minutes on average. Times vary due to the treatment and exercises being performed.

The regularity of your visits will be determined after your initial evaluation, but most patients have 3 visits each week scheduled.

Testimonials

“Dinah is a skilled professional and approaches PT with a good sense of humor as well as a logical and appropriate response to patient input. Some PT places you will find the therapists do not listen to the feedback from the patient and factor that into the care. Dinah has years of experience and tailors the PT program to you and your injury or issues. I have encountered some PTs that follow a formula and will not deviate from it, that’s stupid because sometimes the formula approach simply does not work. You will be in good hands with Dinah has been my experience.(I received care for an achilles tendon rupture in my ankle. That same ankle had suffered a previous lateral ankle reconstruction. So, I have had PT care many times prior to the ankle reconstruction, as well as afterwards. So, I have experienced both good and bad PT care with respect to that joint…while living in another state.)”

“I used Max Motion for Physical Therapy on my knee. Marlene was great, as well as the entire staff from the point of checking in. It’s like one big happy family, to include the other patients who are there for treatment. The facility is clean. There are plenty pieces of equipment to work on. I like the fact that Marlene structures your program towards the type of movements that you will normally be doing after you finish with them. I have used other PTs in Sierra Vista, but really like Max Motion and would highly recommend them!”

Elle

“My knee is feeling better but I’m going to miss the folks at Max Motion! Especially Chris’ candy bowl at the front desk!

The clinic was very tidy. The staff makes sure to sanitize the exam tables and change the pillow cases between each patient. Everyone (including the other people doing PT) is friendly. I saw both Marlene and Derick during my treatment. They were very knowledgeable yet explained things so I could understand them. At first I thought they’d have me doing little stretches but I felt the burn every time! Marlene provided me which a print out of stretches to do at home, which was very useful. She also discussed my running with me.

I came in because I was limping around due to knee pain but this weekend I ran a 10k in record time (by that I mean a personal record). Thank you, Max Motion! I hope I won’t need PT again but if I do, I’ll go to you!”

Martina

“Max Motion is a fantastic place to do Physical Therapy. Marlene & Derick are great at what they do. You are always welcomed with a warm smile from Chris at the front desk and Reba working on the computer behind Chris. The atmosphere in the clinic is cool with the mix of music genres playing while you do your thing. This is not an assembly line type of establishment where quantity overrides quality. The therapist are meticulous in what they do with each patient that comes through the door. Never a dull moment when you are there because the crew will somehow manage to make you smile and laugh too. If by some unfortunate situation I find myself needing physical therapy I will definitely choose Max Motion over any other PT Clinic. MM Rocks!!!”
